BackStory

The emergence of Pocket Doctor stems from a place of frustration and pain. I remember seeing my grandfather drop in front of me in the house with my one cousin. As I stood there paralyzed with fear and naivety, my cousin ran out to ask neighbors to assist. The thought of him possibly dying with me in the same room and not being able to help in any way consumed me for years. I then wondered, how many other stories are similar to mine or some ending with causalities. 

Having interviewed several medical doctors, they complain about people coming into the hospital when their conditions are severe and close to death—people who do not have a healthy relationship with the medical world. Reasons stem from treatment, overcrowding, and distance to the nearest hospital or Clinic. It is hard to walk into a public hospital for a checkup when the person in front of you in the queue is on the verge of death and they have been in line for 4 hours and not received assistance.

The Birth 

Pocket Doctor was created to help solve all those issues. We never want people to be faced with a near-death experience and not have the tools to help them understand and stabilize the situation. No more premature deaths.  

The pain of not having diagnoses because you can only get prioritized when it is severe is coming to an end. We want to promote prevention over treatment. The stigma of mental health is going to die. You can now speak to your Pocket Doctor and familiarize yourself with talking about your mental issues if you have no one to talk to and eventually see a therapist. 

You now have your private doctor in your pocket who will never forsake you!
